 About Forum

The International Forums on Food Safety has been successfully held in Beijing in 2010 and 2011. Each Forum attracted more than 300 domestic and international participants from industry, academia and administration on the theme ¡°Risk Management: Concepts and Practice¡± and ¡°Food Safety Management for Whole Supply Chain and Risk Communication¡±. With supports from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, WHO, FAO, ICMSF, ILSI, the Forum has made tremendous progress towards the aim of establishing a high level food safety think tank in China.

Building on the success of the 2010 and 2011 Forum, CIFST and IUFoST will co-organize 2012 International Forum on Food Safety. With a theme of ¡°Ensuring Food Safety, Meeting Global Challenge ¡±, the urgent task will be focused to make the paradigm shift for the food safety supervision in China from hitherto the major practice of ¡°defect analysis of the final products¡± to ¡°systematic approach along the whole food value chain¡±.

With most in-depth analysis of core issues of food safety in China as well as the integrated global wisdom, intelligence and experience for an efficient solution to food safety in China, 2012 International Forum on Food Safety is the platform for inspiring ideas and authoritative information for all food safety stakeholders from government, industry and science community.
